Here at Beechdale we value the children’s immediate community and culture and we strive to open our children up to the community around them. By going on walks around Consett, talking about where they live and who they live with and celebrating family events together. However we also like to take this one step further and even at this very young age show the children that there is a ‘big world’ out there!
We have been successful to gain two Global Partnerships here at Beechdale. Back in 2011 we secured links with a school in Sri Lanka and in 2019 we were lucky enough to secure an additional partnership with a school in Nepal.
In Novemeber 2019 Mrs Graham and Mrs Piggott visited our partner school in Nepal. Please see the link before for information on this partnership.
Mrs Cornes and Mrs Richardson visited our partner school in Sri Lanka in June 2012 and we hosted a return visit from our partners in September.
