Here at Beechdale we are always striving to be the very best we can be, and as a result provide quality care and education for your children. Working in partnership with parents, carers and grandparents is a vital part of the Early Years Foundation Stage and we seek to do this every-day. We value all you contribute to our nursery every-day, the chats at drop off time and pick up, parent meetings, Round Robin craft day and the ‘parent voice’ on your child’s learning journal stories. Early in 2015 we decided to take this one step further, we set up a PAWS (Parents Active with School) Group following parent consultation and a questionnaire which gave the parents the opportunity to express what they wanted from a home-school partnership. Our PAWS group has become a huge success and new parents are always eager to join in and get involved. Parents have the chance to meet and work on wish lists from the children and staff. Some of our recent projects include re-vamping our library, fund raising, a wonderful collection of story stones, willow seat and developing our outdoor areas. Parents and staff held our annual leavers picnic for all of our families, the event is a great chance to celebrate all that we have achieved and say goodbye to our children as they continue on their learning journey in their new schools.
We look forward to meeting new members and our existing parents along with some parents who even after their children have transferred to new schools still want to be involved with Paws.
