Beechdale Nursery – Winner of the 2011 Chronicle Environment Award
Beechdale Nursery are the proud winners of the Community Group Award for the Evening chronicle environment awards 2011. Our outreach learning support assistant Angela Bowyer was also a finalist in the environmental individual award.
Since starting Beechdale in Bloom in 2010 we have been able to offer a grand variety of new activities to the whole community including planting and gardening, seasonal vegetables, healthy eating, cooking own produce and for young people with complex needs, the opportunity to experience a whole new range of sensory activities.
We have developed a substantial allotment area with compost and water recycling area, sensory garden and hen area which houses our nursery hatched hens.
