Mrs Clemitson and Mrs Bowyer are the key workers for all children who are in the Centre Snakes group. We have a group time at the beginning and at the end of each Nursery session.
The first group time is spent welcoming all the children to Nursery and taking a group register, this enables the children to become familiar with and learn their names. As a group we sing a song and count our names, linking in number and calculation.
The children then take part in an activity, game or session depending on the day of the week.
Here is a sample of just some of the activities the children take part in during group time: music sessions, Wiggle whilst you squiggle, an allotment session, a number focused activity or a letters and sounds focused activity.
Just before home time the children go back into their groups ready for a story and home time.
